Hiking Padar Island

Padar Island is one of the most famous hiking destinations in Komodo National Park. The trail climbs through rugged hills before reaching a spectacular viewpoint overlooking the island’s distinctive bays and surrounding ocean.

The hike can be challenging in hot weather, so comfortable footwear, sufficient water, sun protection, and appropriate preparation are recommended.

Wildlife & Nature Trails

On Komodo Island and Rinca Island, trekking trails can take visitors through areas inhabited by Komodo dragons and other wildlife.

Because these are wild animals, sightings are not guaranteed. Visitors must remain with their ranger, follow park regulations, and maintain a safe distance from wildlife.
